Proverbs 1:7 declares the key to the Biblical understanding. The passage says…..
Proverbs 1:7
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
The phrase is repeated many times in Proverbs, stating the same concept using different terms, such as…. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”, or “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding.” But what does “the fear of the Lord imply? Simply put, it implies obedience to God’s instruction. God will only reveal things to a heart that seeks obedience to His contextual truth.
You see, the reason so many who profess Christ don’t understand the Bible is because they refuse to “come out from among THEM and be separate.” You may ask, who are the “THEM” referred to? “THEM” is anyone taking the name of the Lord upon them, yet loyal to anything other than Jesus. Sure they profess Jesus, but not the real Jesus. Their Jesus creates a brotherhood of denominations, traditions, and doctrines that associate the name of Christ. But the Apostle said in Galatians 1 that, “ANYONE (or even an angel) who teaches a gospel apart from what was delivered by Christ’s few Apostles is condemned to Hell.“ But the “THEM” I speak of ignore such warnings. One sect of “THEM” may believe a more Wesleyan or Armenian view of salvation, yet call the Calvinists down the street “brothers and sisters in Christ”, as well as the holiness sect outside town, or the mormon folks across the tracks. You see, they declare something God did not sanction. Therefore they misrepresent God to everyone they speak over. This “THEM” crowd are among the number in which the biblical Jesus declared….
Matthew 24:11-13
“And many FALSE PROPHETS will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
What is “lawlessness?” It is the rejection of God’s truth. Jesus’ words are the Law of Christ. Whatever is antithetical to the contextual teaching of Christ and His Apostles is LAWLESSNESS. So for one indoctrinated group to declare another group with an opposing doctrine to be “in Christ”, IS LAWLESSNESS. Paul said there is ONE gospel, and anyone who is not cohesive with exactly what the Apostles delivered is LAWLESS.
Evangelicalism today is lawlessness. Charismania is lawlessness. Pentecostalism is lawlessness. Mormonism is lawlessness. Calvinism is lawlessness. Paul was indeed referring to the gospel, which refers to soteriology, or “salvation doctrine”, but all the above mentioned beliefs, (though not exhaustive), deceive people away from the truth, but Calvinism is a direct heresy against the salvation doctrine delivered throughout the entire Bible. Pentecostalism isn’t a soteriology doctrine, but is a doctrine born of another spirit and another doctrine opposing Paul’s clear rebuke of Corinth for the same behaviors 2000 years ago. Sign-seekers are lawless! Actually Jesus called them “evil and adulterous!”
The “Fear of the Lord”, or the obedient heart of a person who sets God above all things, and says, “Let GOD be true, and every man a liar”, that person will find understanding, knowledge, and wisdom. That person will deny all to follow Him, and wants Him exalted at all costs. That person will not tolerate false teaching, false behavior, and false teachers. That person is on GOD’s side and is no respecter of persons. He will lose all supposed friends to defend the gospel of Jesus Christ. That man has the fear of the Lord.
God declares this of the persons who hate His truth……..
Proverbs 1:24-29
“Because I have called and you refused to listen,
have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, because you have ignored all my counsel
and would have none of my reproof,
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,”
God mocks those who reject His contextual word. They are the lawless. They excuse things God hates. Rather than come out from among THEM, they make excuses for THEM. They are self-deceived into thinking God is still working in the children of disobedience just because the devil’s children proclaim the name of Jesus. Rather than marking those who cause doctrinally divisive confusion, and having no company with them, they somehow remove these liars from this command in their minds, because those people are family or friends. Well, they choose to deny God before men in so doing. These are the THEM who have not the Fear of the Lord, forever learning knowledge, yet unable to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Proverbs 2:1-5
“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.”
Did you notice what God just said was a prerequisite to the “Fear of the Lord?” The person MUST seek His word in order to have it. So….anyone who doesn’t seek it to understand it is NOT A BELIEVER. It is a false profession by a false Christian to claim Christ and remain uninterested in His Word. You cannot accomplish any of this if your loyalty lies to another. God only reveals His word to those who will walk in His integrity and uphold His truth before all. “The secret things belong to God, but the things revealed belong to His children.”
Proverbs 2:7-8
“He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.”
No man will gain the gift of God’s wisdom who doesn’t hate evil and the men who twist and contort God’s word for personal gain and status.
Proverbs 8:13
“The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil.
Pride, and arrogance, and the way of evil,
and perverted speech I hate.”
The class of THEM pervert the words of God. They are arrogant and boastful, and walk in the way of greed and excess, seeking wealth, pleasure, and social status. In other words, to use John’s allusion, “they worship the image of the Beast.” The image of the Beast is a false Jesus that points men to bow to the world beast system that Jesus described as “the lust of the flesh (pleasure), the lust of the eyes (materialism), and the pride of life (socio-economic status). In other words, they bear the Mark of the Beast. They serve the lamb with horns!
Revelation 13:11-12
“Then I saw another BEAST (false Christianity) rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and IT SPOKE LIKE A DRAGON. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and MAKES THE EARTH AND ITS INHABITANTS WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST (the world),…..
The second beast is the FALSE Jesus most hear of. This “false Jesus” speaks deceptively like the Dragon in Genesis 3, twisting the true word of God, causing people to question if it will really bring what God says it will bring, and resulting in spiritual death to all who follow his words. This false Jesus is the image of the Beast that causes men to indulge in this present world, and ignore God’s command to “come out from among THEM and be separate! Touch not the unclean thing, and then I will receive you.”
The message of the false Christ, the lamb with horns, is compromise by minimizing God’s instruction. Remember the Dragon’s words to Eve?? “Has God REALLY said???” If you eat of this tree (the world system) you will not surely die. But God knows the moment you experience all of this, you will be just like Him!!”
The Dragon speaks through the false prophets of so-called Christianity, as well as all false religions, and his message is far from the “Fear of the Lord.” His message is the opposite, which is called blasphemy; the rejection of God’s Truth.
2 Corinthians 6:14-16
“Do not be unequally yoked (in deeds) with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
Anyone who teaches in opposition to God is a damned being. I don’t care if it’s your daddy, mommy, brother, sister, or your best friend. And if you are choosing them over Jesus, and denying Him by not standing against their heresies, you are an enemy of Christ. Fact!
Isn’t it ironic that in these days, in the modern “church”, there is and has been a declaration of a great “end-time revival”, “outpouring”, or “latter rain” to come, spoken by the false prophets of modern Christianity for the last 200 years, yet NOWHERE is that what the real Son of God said!!! Nowhere! And people flock to this BS in droves. But on the contrary, Jesus said…..
Matthew 24:10-12
“And then MANY will FALL AWAY and betray one another and hate one another. And MANY FALSE PROPHETS will arise and LEAD MANY ASTRAY And because LAWLESSNESS will be increased, the LOVE OF MANY will grow cold.”
I thought John Calvin said you can’t fall away? I thought they said that you can’t lose the (agape) love of God, when they twist John’s words and say “if you fell away you were never saved anyway!!” But Jesus said in the next verse after those mentioned above, “HE WHO ENDURES UNTIL THE END SHALL BE SAVED.” No one is saved until they die in faith, or are translated. No one. Jesus is right, and John Calvin, Martin Luther, and the Sinner’s Prayer model is heresy.
Folks, it is called “deceiving and being deceived.” Beast worshipers believe that crap. No true believer would ever, because they read and study God’s Word for themselves, and reject all filters. Almost everyone I know who adheres to that unconditional eternity security doctrine is greedy. And the Bible clearly says “no greedy person will enter into the kingdom of heaven.” John Calvin and Martin Luther were heretics, period. Blasphemous heretics. Notice above, Jesus said LAWLESSNESS WILL INCREASE. Where is the part in His prophecy about a “Great Awakening”, an “Azusa Street Revival”, an End-time revival, or “Latter Rain?” Where is the idea of any type of “REVIVAL” even found in the scripture?? Nowhere, because all of that heretical nonsense is part of the great FALLING AWAY of the last days; the rejection of God’s clear truth, and the lawless adherence to man-made doctrines and beliefs that are utterly void of God’s contextual word. Almost every modern church doctrine hailing the name of Christianity today are heretical twists of scriptures. That is a sad truth. The “THEM” people who adhere to these beliefs are among those whom God sends a spirit of delusion upon for rejecting HIS WORD, rightly interpreted.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12
“Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the REBELLION COMES FIRST, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the MYSTERY OF LAWLESSNESS IS ALREADY AT WORK. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and FALSE SIGNS AND LYING WONDERS, and with all WICKED DECEPTION for those who are perishing, BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LOVE THE TRUTH AND SO BE SAVED. THEREFORE GOD SENDS them a strong DELUSION, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned to hell who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
Everyone naming the name of Christ, that the Fear of the Lord (obedience unto righteousness) is not found in, will be of this number of delusional people whom God has judged for not loving His true contextual instruction. Ever beheld charismaniacs running around the room, laid out on the floors, giggling, speaking erratic syllables, (as if that is some “heavenly tongue), and jerking like a man possessed??? Yeah, that is delusion for rejecting Truth. That is an image of the great falling away embodied, where lawlessness abounds, and the love (truth-bearing) of many grows cold. But the fear of the Lord is the antidote. You cannot have the Spirit of Christ without the Word of Christ in you. Delusion says speaking erratic tongues is the evidence of the Spirit. The Bible says the Spirit and the Word are one. That means if you don’t know the word, or in process of seeking it, you don’t know Christ, and you cannot have His Spirit. Delusion is what causes a man to adhere to a false salvation created by a handful of scriptures out of context, and ignore thousands that destroy it. God sends that delusion, because He gives people over to their own desires when they refuse His truth.
Acts 5:32
And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM.”
No obedient fear of the Lord, no Holy Spirit!! Do you think God is true, or an illiterate one-eyed man who sat in front of a crowd with his head in a wooden crate, and would occasionally yell “REPENT”, at which time people fell in the floor and rolled around, speaking gibberish?” Well the Assemblies of God and many other charismatics believe this man named Willian Seymour above God’s word. The Southern Baptist Convention believes John Calvin over Jesus Christ. The majority of modern Christianity, (so-called) is rooted in reformation theology, as if Luther was an Apostle of Christ. Evangelicals bow to the American flag, American politics, and American currency in the name of Jesus. Does Jesus condone taking up arms and killing other people He died for in the name of liberty? You tell me, do any of these sound like they have the Fear of the Lord, or are they under a strong deluding spirit sent by God, as judgment for misrepresenting His Word? I’ll circle “B.”
Want clear examples in our present day of strong delusion, deception, false prophets, and what Jesus and Paul called the “falling away?” Turn on TBN. Look at mega-church culture. Look at all the local churches imitating them. Look at the insane doctrines they teach and then look at the scriptures they quote in the actual context. Listen to the Steven Furticks, Joel Osteens, Perry Nobles, Mark Batterson, Jentzen Franklins, Joyce Meyers, Jesse DuPlantis’, Benny Hinns, John Hagees, T.D. Jakes’, Perry Stones, Chuck Misslers, Bill Johnsons, and on and on…. How about the demonized Kenneth Copeland, TBN’s beg-a-thon king for decades? How about the Hillsongs, Elevations, and the like, that promote an image and behavior forbidden by the scripture. “Worship Leaders” who look and “perform” like heavy metal bands, continuing to tattoo up because of “the liberties in Christ”, quoting that “liberty” term along with everything else out of context. It doesn’t matter how I see those men on a personal level as human beings. What matters is what God thinks of us all. And His word calls them enemies of the Cross, because they merchandise His holy name, and teach and live apart from His Word, leading others to do the same.
It ALL worships the image of the Beast, and is the antithesis of the Fear of the Lord. Will you continue to excuse and defend these people of their idolatry and false teachings, their millions of books sold bearing their false teachings and predictions? Or will you love God and let His word be the ruling authority in all things? I will finish with this snapshot that was sent to me last week. I don’t have a clue who the author is, or if he believes the real Jesus or the false image one, but nevertheless these words ring true in my life. I’m grateful to have come out from among THEM. They’re liars and false christians. If they don’t repent, they will perish.
