The Heresy of the Reformers

John 3:36
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever DOES NOT OBEY the Son SHALL NOT SEE LIFE, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

👆🏼 What John, (the hand-chosen Apostle of Jesus Christ), said. Notice how “believes” and “obeys the Son” are synonyms, in that John makes it abundantly clear that those who believe in the Son, aka those who obey the Son’s words (Christ’s law/ red letter) will receive eternal life, but those who claim to be believers, yet do not obey the law of Christ, remain in waiting for the wrath of God to eternal damnation.

95% of so-called preachers teach what the Reformers taught, rather than what the Apostles taught. Jesus warned that many false teachers will arise and deceive many. Sadly not many are willing to admit that this could be the pastor, the father, brother, or friend. Everyone wants to think Jesus was talking about some obviously evil person “out there lurking”, but in fact He simply was referring to anyone who teaches what He and the Apostles did not.

Who did Jesus say were the foundation of the Church, the reformers?

The heretics, Martin Luther and John Calvin??? No, He said the Apostles. What is required to be an Apostle, according to scripture? An Apostle must have witnessed the ministry of Jesus first-hand in the flesh. So are the fools who call themselves “apostles” in today’s false churches true? No, they are deceived men who deceive other men. And so are the masses of church leaders who teach the poison of the Reformers. It’s just a fact.

And one might argue, “how can the majority be wrong?”  Well, if you look from cover to cover in the Bible, you will see a common pattern that the majority was always wrong. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day were blind and deceived and deceiving others, and He exposed their heresy, and they killed Him for it.

Martin Luther and his little imp, John Calvin, who put Luther’s heresies, that were a compound with Augustine’s heresies, into corporal practice. A view of the Great Exchange”, that Jesus dying on the cross was an exchange that alleviated us of any part in righteousness. Not so different than what Catholicism already promoted.

The belief that a Christian is positionally in Christ via the means of some kind of swap, exchange, or substitution is a very common view held by millions of deceived people, particularly those who fall under the auspices of what is known as Protestantism. Yet is such a doctrine actually true? Let’s examine this question in depth.

The notion of being “Dressed In His Righteousness Alone” can be summed up with the words of Martin Luther…

“Yesterday we began to speak about the baptism of Christ and said that he accepted it from John for the reason that he was entering into our stead, indeed, our person, that is, becoming a sinner for us, taking upon himself the sins which he had not committed, and wiping them out and drowning them in his holy baptism. And that he did this in accord with the will of God, the heavenly Father, who cast all our sins upon him that he might bear them and not only cleanse us from them through his baptism and make satisfaction for them on the Cross, but also clothe us in his holiness and adorn us with his innocence. Is not this a beautiful, glorious exchange, by which Christ, who is wholly innocent and holy, not only takes upon himself another’s sin, that is, my sin and guilt, but also clothes and adorns me, who am nothing but sin, with his own innocence and purity? And then besides dies the shameful death of the Cross for the sake of my sins, through which I have deserved death and condemnation, and grants to me his righteousness, in order that I may live with him eternally in glorious and unspeakable joy. Through this BLESSED EXCHANGE, in which Christ changes places with us (something the heart can grasp only in faith), and through nothing else, are we freed from sin and death and GIVEN HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND LIFE AS OUR OWN.” Luther’s Works, Volume 51, Sermons

This is the reformers’ teaching. Pure, unadulterated heresy and defiance to the true, contextual teaching of Christ and His Apostles. Plain and simple. And ALL who follow this will be found, as John said above, in God’s wrath in the judgment.

Dressed in His righteousness?? Nowhere is that supposed exchange in your Bible! Nowhere. But what is in our Bible is where the Apostle John tells us how we are “righteous”, and where the Apostle Paul tells us how we are righteous.

1 John 3:7-10
“Little children, let no one deceive you. WHOEVER PRACTICES RIGHTEOUSNESS IS RIGHTEOUS, as He is righteous. Whoever makes a PRACTICE OF SINNING is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. NO ONE born of God makes a PRACTICE of sinning, for God’s seed (Word) abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of (fathered by) God. BY THIS IT IS EVIDENT WHO ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, and who are the children of the devil: whoever DOES NOT PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

That folks, is a biblical author. But Luther, a devout follower of the 3rd century church heretic called Saint Augustine, said….

“Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world.  We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides…  No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day.” (Sited from Letter #99 Paris, A. Picard, 1912-13), VOl. II, pg. 404)

I confronted a guy who claims to be a “Christian” a while back, who sleeps with every lady who will comply. Isn’t it Luther who just tried to justify that behavior? After all, the Reformers said that nothing can separate us from Christ’s love, not even thousands of adulteries, right? So it must be true, huh? But Paul said this…

1 Corinthians 6:18-20
“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Who does Jesus clearly legitimize, Paul or the Reformers? Yeah……

The Apostles taught obedient allegiance to keeping Christ’s word in practice, as our means of righteousness and final salvation. Today people criticize this discourse as “salvation by works.” Well what are works? Keeping the words of Jesus. Duh!! It is clear. John has made it abundantly clear. Only those who keep his commandments will be granted eternal life. Hello?

Paul says of our righteousness, ……

Romans 6:16-18
“Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, YOU ARE SLAVES OF THE ONE YOU OBEY, either of sin, which leads to death, OR OF OBEDIENCE, WHICH LEADS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS? But thanks be to God, THAT YOU WHO WERE ONCE SLAVES OF SIN HAVE BECOME OBEDIENT FROM THE HEART TO THE STANDARD OF TEACHING to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin’s power, HAVE BECOME SLAVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

This is the only exchange found in scripture, and utterly contradicts their heretical, supposed exchange that only Martin Luther came up with. Notice how we are to willfully enslave ourselves to obedient, righteous living? Righteousness mean “right conduct.” You can’t be righteous without it. Deep isn’t it?

“But Luther said Jesus made us righteous and we have to do nothing to be saved.” LOL, fantasy!!! Before Martin Luther, no one in church history’s writings ever made such a claim. EVER. Not even Augustine was that brazen, and he too was a deceived liar.

Almost every church today teaches the Reformers’ doctrines. When we talk about salvation, it’s more Luther-Calvin doctrine than that of Jesus and the Apostles. Ever seen a “sinner’s prayer” taught in the New Testament? Exactly. It isn’t even hinted at, but how many believe it? You know what that means about churches teaching the reformers’ heresies? Those who are ignoring and perverting the scripture? Jesus is not in those churches.

This is very basic but how many know scripture teaches Jesus Christ as a SINLESS, SPOTLESS LAMB? If He wasn’t, He wasn’t qualified as a sacrificial Savior. Guess what Martin Luther taught about Jesus?? And to preface this quote, reformers and advocates of Calvinism will say “These quotes of Luther are taken out of context!!” Please, someone dare tell me where there is a context in all of creation where such a comment can have a freaking legitimate context? Please!!!!

Luther teaches:

“Christ committed adultery first of all with the woman at the well, about whom St. John tells us. Was not everybody about Him saying: ‘Whatever has He been doing with her?’ Secondly, with Mary Magdalen, and thirdly with the women taken in adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even, Christ who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died. (Sited from: Trish Reden Weimar Edition Vol2, pg107)

And that, for all who read this, is the source of the so-called Jesus that most false Christianity is built upon in the reformers America today. It is not the historical Christ, but an “image” of a Jesus that confirms men in their love of this world. John called this Jesus “the image of the Beast” in Revelation 13. He is the image of a “lamb” with horns, “who speaks like a dragon.” We all know how the serpent speaks. He twists scripture to get uneducated men to defy God. Remember Adam and Eve? ”Has God really said?” He causes ignorant people to doubt the stern seriousness of what God actually said. A God whose Word is bound in truth, and cannot lie.

Revelation 13:11

“Then I saw another beast coming up from the earth. He had two horns LIKE A LAMB, but was speaking like a dragon.”

He appears like Jesus outwardly, but speaks lies against the truth of God. The Antichrist is a personification of this spirit, found at work in people who twist and reject the clear, concise teaching of Christ and his appointed Apostles. The Antichrist is not some literal person to come, it is a spirit that John says was already at work in this world in His day of writing.

1 John 4:3 “…. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, AND IS NOW already in the world.”

It is astounding how many people debate me on this. They’ll simply reply, “You’re wrong, Chris! I’ve been taught to view the scripture a certain way, and I’m sticking with it”, even though I would spend hours dismantling their arguments with scripture after scripture, in context, to which they rarely ever offer a single scripture in support against, only to hear from them what I just quoted. It is frustrating and sad. In other words, “Someone told me what to believe and that is good enough for me.”

Others will say how harsh this all is, and that they like the “eloquent style” of another teacher (who lies to them and entertains their flesh). That’s exactly what the Corinthians said, causing Paul to call them infantile babies, and deceived people. Why? Because they love the world, and the ‘other Jesus’ they love to hear, is a false one whose message is all about them, and this life.

1 Corinthians 1:10-13
“Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?”

Sectarianism is sin! Denominationalism is sectarianism. Hello?? It is division based on the refusal to agree with the Apostolic teaching, creating nuances that placate to human will and desires. That is what Paul just condemned. “Well I’m a Calvinist!” “Well I was raised Pentecostal!” “Well I’m a devout Methodist!” ……Well, I’ll tell you, you’re in trouble already. Did you ever read John’s gospel, chapter 8, where the religious Jews took this same stance with Jesus, only to hear Jesus tell them that His Father, was not their father? Yeah…… maybe some people need to revisit that, or read it for the first time ever. Just sayin’…….

My pastor said to me recently, “People just don’t get it.” I knew what he meant, but the truth is they usually do “get it” well enough, and that’s why they resist it. It isn’t a “Jesus” who serves THEM, so they don’t want Him. Self-denial is NOT on their agenda, nor is serving anyone. They have no intentions of paying any personal price for God, pointing blindly to Jesus’ cross, and utterly ignoring where He demanded that we all take up our own cross daily and follow His example of dying to this life. Remember, the religious Jews killed Jesus to protect their religious traditions too. Exactly what denominations are doing!! Refusing to lay aside any belief to the contextual intent of the Apostles’ teaching.

Hebrews 6:6 “…. since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.”

These are the kinds of folks who love Martin Luther and John Calvin. Those folks who proof-text verses out of context, and lean on a chosen few passages, pulled far from the body of the chapters they reside in. You know how they get away with it? Because 99% of people claiming Jesus NEVER read their Bible. Did you know it is impossible to actually know and have a relationship with Christ and not know His word for yourself? Ouch!

Yeah, an ignorant person is easy to deceive. Why do you suppose Satan chose to approach Eve and not Adam? Adam had first-hand information directly from God. He knew without a doubt what God said. Eve was told second-hand by Adam, (and Adam stood by complicit to her choice.) You ever notice that Eve ate of the fruit first, and nothing happened? It was the one in authority who ate when the fall came.

Ephesians 2:8-9 are the token passages of Calvinism.

Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith(fulness), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works (of the Mosaic Law), lest anyone should boast.”

Two passages, that when read in context are talking to a church in Ephesus, who were being bullied by religious Jews of Judaism, pretending to be Christians, pushing the Mosaic Law and circumcision on Christ followers, as a means of salvation. Paul was saying we are saved by “grace”, the power afforded to walk in the Holy Spirit, (aka Jesus’ Word), and not of keeping works of the Old Covenant laws. The reformers want to treat these passages as if there is no law in Christ. Yet Jesus said……

Matthew 7:22-23

“On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy (preach) in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

How can there be lawlessness if He has no law in this New Covenant? DUHHHHH!!!! Man, if some people thought twice, they’d be the genius in their family.

If any reading this have believed the nonsense of the Reformers, you should repent and find you another church. Those teaching anything apart from what the Apostles once-for-all delivered as church doctrine, are damned to Hell.

Jude 1:3
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning OUR COMMON SALVATION, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”

Jesus said “few will enter in.” Why? Because very few are willing to concede to this true gospel that requires self-denial of this world’s offering. And even of those who do concede to its validity, few of that number are willing to actually walk it out. So few means few. Not the millions in churches clinging to a false image of Jesus.

Galatians 1:6-8
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following A DIFFERENT GOSPEL- not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to DISTORT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel CONTRARY TO THE ONE WE PREACHED TO YOU, let him be CONDEMNED TO HELL!”

The Apostle Paul said that. Who did Jesus give “binding and loosing” authority to to establish New Covenant doctrine? His hand-chosen Apostles. Anything contradicting them on salvation will damn all who follow it, and teach it.

The Reformers doctrine is a damnable doctrine. No two men who have ever lived are responsible for more souls in Hell than John Calvin and Martin Luther. Their teaching was an over-response to the legalism of Catholicism that dominated people for 1200 years. It is diabolically evil.

Ever been told in church that we cannot be like Jesus and it’s impossible to live a sinless life like He did? Did you drink the Kool-aid? Look at what the Apostle John said.

1 John 2:3-6
“Now by this we know that we know Him, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, IS A LIAR, and the truth is not in him. Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. BY THIS we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him OUGHT HIMSELF ALSO TO WALK JUST AS HE WALKED.”

Calvinism and Reformed doctrine is heresy. It is damning and will damn all who drink of it. Fact.
